PREMIERE: PRINCESS NOKIA'S "BART SIMPSON + GREEN LINE"

With 1992—the highly anticipated full length album from Princess Nokia, finally being released, the Bronx based rapper solidifies her spot as one of the most vulnerable yet boundary pushing new emcees in the game. 

Her tracks along with their corresponding visuals always center around the themes and values that make Destiny Frasqueri the passionate lyricist that she is—her Boricua identity, womanhood, brujeria and the love of her life—New York City. 

The Boricua's latest visual project is a dual film for her tracks "Bart Simpson" and "Green Line" off of 1992—two singles that each reminisce on the young rapper's teenage years in the city that never sleeps, and co-directed by her good friend and fellow artist Milah Libin. 

 

Along with releasing her new visual, Princess Nokia has also set up a private GoFund Me page for her fans to donate to in order to support the millions of victims of Hurricane Maria on her home island of Puerto Rico. In the video below, released a few days ago, Nokia calls out Number 45 on his lack of attention and support to the US territory that so many Americans call home.
